IT Programmer:

DugaDuga.com is looking for an IT Programmer to work on our social networking site. Applicant must be able to multi-task, follow through, problem solve and be adaptable and flexible, sometimes under pressure and with interruptions to bug fix the current site, build new functionality and deliver a consistently scalable, secure and fault tolerant web application. Strong verbal and written communications skills, and the ability to exhibit discretion and diplomacy in interactions with staff, users and customers, as needed, is required.

We have built a web application using Perl 5, Catalyst, JavaScript, Apache, MySQL, on Debian OS, with the Google Maps API that is entirely hosted in Amazon Web Services. The application is a social platform that works to build a better world for all of us. Applicant must have experience coding web applications for compatibility with Internet Explorer 8 and above, currently supported Firefox versions as well as Apple Safari and currently supported Apple web browsers. Applicant must have demonstrated experience creating Apple and Android mobile apps formats of existing web sites.

We're looking for an excellent programmer who can commit to deadlines, deliver and communicate frequently and clearly, manage the code base and change control process, build/expand the site functionality using open source options as needed by business requirements from management. The applicant will build a mobile app version of our site. This person will work with our remote SysAdmin to bug fix and deploy the code and fixes for the alpha release and beyond. We are working under an Agile development model.

Skills Required:

Agile, Perl, Catalyst, MySQL, JavaScript, Amazon Web Services, Apache, Google Maps API, Git, APIs, AJAX, HTML, Apple & Android Mobile App Development, and other programming technologies as needed by business requirements.

Pay is DOE and hourly, position will transition into fulltime with benefits and equity.
